Better Gnomes and Fairy Gardens

It's been just over a month since we planted our Fairy Garden and even with our cool spring things are happening. The poor ole gnome under the mushroom is barely visible (I think he likes it that way) and we have two fairies that moved in. They came from the same garage sale as the gnome, so no introductions were necessary. The creeping thyme and sea thrift are blooming -- the dwarf delphinium won't be long before it adds some blue.

Miss M has this one winged fairy perched perfectly on her rain barrel.

We did have to do some repairs to the mini bunting. The wind and rain wreaked havoc on my school glue job -- we even lost a few pennants. I've resnipped and reglued & sealed them with two coats of Modge Podge. I'll give them a few shots of spray sealer too. I thought that I wouldn't leave a small space between the pennants this time, but looking at it now it's got that 'used car lot' thing going on. Oops. Plant growth forced the bunting to be moved over the pool, but judging by the fairy dust left there in the mornings I don't believe it has slowed down pool traffic.

Vintage sheep and chickens have taken up residence (thank you Louise!) and have settled in nicely. I am not sure if it is me or our daughter that gets the most enjoyment out of our wee garden. I love to look out my kitchen window and watch the bunting blowing gently in the breeze. If I could fit (and it had a vintage chaise lounge & wi-fi) I'd be ready to move in!
