An old jar, some fairy lights and this printable label is all you need to add a bit of nostalgia to your summer decor. The label is from the Summertime set, link below.  ...
Summer is here! Add a vintage touch to your summer vignette with this printable label. From set #111 in my shop!  ...
I've created three new sets of printable laundry room decor labels to help make giving your space a primitive look. Twelve labels are available, the links are below.    I gently opened the seams on a cracker box and reassembled it with the plain kraft colour from the inside facing out. It makes a perfect container for your soap label.   The Homestead Soap is crumpled brown kraft paper wrapped around a piece of scrap lumber.           ...
This is super easy. All you need is a few choice vessels and these labels to create a primitive country display in your bathroom. Only two of the jars (elixir and magic oil) are antiques, the rest are new! I created the 'bandages' by wrapping crumpled kraft paper around a toilet tissue tube. The magic oil is in an antique bleach bottle. The liniment and ointment are candle containers and the salve is a new magnetic spice container from the dollar store. The bitters and cough syrup are in bottles purchased from Michaels from the Halloween section (which usually hits the store in July). Measure your containers and adjust your label size using photo editing software to get a good fit. I could have printed the bitters just a little smaller.   ...
My pantry is ready for spring - it's just the snow that is still falling that isn't. 🙄 Eight printable labels, link below. The eggs and pantry sign are separate listings and available in my shop. 🐰         Pantry Labels Link    ...
Make this super easy spring decor with a printable label and a frog of your choosing. This label is one of eight in a new spring bunch, link below.  ...
This is my new favourite! One of eight printable vintage-look printable pantry labels are in my new set. I printed this one on new muslin that I pre coffee and tea dyed. I used Heat and Bond Lite to adhere it to a 100+ year old salt sack that my great granny had saved. Finished bag is about 12"x7.5".    ...
Who doesn't need chicken Valentine decor in their kitchen?? I sure did! My grandparents, above, had chickens on their farm and one of my earliest memories is the hens scattering when we drove into the yard in the 1960's. It's also my grandmother tied onto the homespun heart.   You will find this label in set #124 in my shop (click on the image below to find it). I printed the label on new pre-washed muslin and sewed a simple feed sack. I use the freezer paper method, my ink jet printer and new, well pressed pre-home dyed muslin. I strongly recommend researching for a tutorial as this is not a feat for the faint of heart. You will find many posts on this on Pinterest. If you have an old printer at home I would use it. I have not had any difficulties with my attempts but I trim every teeny little stray thread from the edges of the freezer paper/muslin before feeding it through the rear tray.   ** I also used a legal sized piece of freezer paper and muslin to give me a bit of ......
All you need is a few twigs and some craft paint to make these rustic style peppermint sticks. I used the watershoots that grew on our apple tree this past summer. The straighter and smoother the better. I have decided that these may be a bit long so they are getting a trim soon.   The label is from my new set of printable peppermint stick labels. There are four labels ranging in style from primitive to Victorian. Just click the link to my Etsy shop to find them.  ...
Happy Fall everyone! I finally had some time to get this out of my head and made into a printable. This design is one of eight in a new old style Halloween pantry set, number 127 in my shop. The links are here on my blog. It is wonderful for fall kitchen decor or make smaller bags for treats for special friends. Directions for printing and making the sack are not included but there are a multitude of posts on Pinterest about printing on muslin. I use the freezer paper method. It is not for the faint of heart and I recommend using a spare printer if you have one. I use a thin well pressed muslin that has been pre-dyed. There is a copy of the print in the set without the 'old paper' colouring and you'll want to use that one. That is why it's important to already have your fabric a darker shade. You cannot dye it or add a water based stain after it is printed as the ink will run. I got a spritz of water on my 'O' and it ran. Yikes. Basic sewing skills are all that ......
Here's another super easy bit of spring decor. The label is from my set number 44 and I used fur-like yarn for a filler. Pom poms would be great too! I printed the label a bit larger than actual size.  ...
Thanks to Tracey at  My Sweet Home Living I have taken the leap into using her recipes for Coffee Grunge, Coffee Podge and paper bag magic to make this bag for my Spring Bulbs label. I love how it turned out. I had everything on hand that I used for this vignette so it was budget friendly too. You will find the video tutorial on making the bag on Tracey's Facebook page, link above. I crocheted an edging on some old cotton gloves and used Tracey's coffee grunge recipe to age them. The photo is of my great grandfather, a master gardener, in his garden in the 1940's. The clothespin was my great grandmother's. Tracey has a another fantastic video tutorial on making even more realistic bulbs. For mine I used golf balls, medium weight brown paper, coffee podge, faux tulip leaves and spanish moss. To make your own, cut 6" to 7" circles from brown paper. Crumple the paper and brush on some coffee podge on the inside. Wrap around the golf ball and twist to close. Brus......
I love a good egg in my spring decor and although the eggs in this vintage image are not chicken eggs I loved the art and could not resist. The label is one of eight in my new spring set, #126. Just click on the link to my shop.   ...
This may not be your usual cutesy bunny label, but it's my new favourite! This new spring label set of eight labels includes the beginner friendly pattern for the scared rabbit. This label fits a vintage honey, syrup, or peanut butter type bucket when printed at the size included. I use a temporary glue runner cartridge for easy removal when rabbit stew season is over. Set #126, available in my shop.    ...
I received a chock full box of beautiful antique amber bottles from a wonderful relic hunter in Vancouver, BC in the fall. I love how they look on my kitchen window sill. I had to conjur up some labels to add for Valentine decor. I wanted to add some height, so some ephemera was added on a piece of hay wire. Six labels, the hearts and all ephemera are incuded in set #125; the link to Etsy can be found above.           Happy Valentine's Day!...
I finally tried printing on fabric and I am loving it! This label is from my new for 2024 set #119. Be sure to do your research before feeding fabric into your printer. I used the freezer paper method and it worked well for me. If I had an inexpensive extra printer laying around I would use that for sure.   I centered the image on a letter size page leaving more room on top so I could make a bag fold that I thought looked authentic. After printing I dusted off my ole sewing machine and got busy. I boxed off the sack corners and filled with a baggie of a 1/2 cup of pantry-dead lentils for weight before stuffing with fibrefill. The sack is about 6.5"x8.5" and almost 3" deep. I printed the label at actual size. It's a really easy sewing project and I am really happy with how it turned out. I think Mrs. Claus would approve....
